Theodor Fontane
Pacing Part (2)
Last week, you engaged with the topic of Pacing. This week, I would like to offer you the opportunity to intensify this topic with further exercises. You will see, success will not be long in coming!
Exercise for this week
a) Match the speaking speed and volume of your conversation partner in a discussion.
b) Pay attention to the favorite words of another person and use these words in conversation with them.
c) Match the handshake of another person. If they grip firmly, then grip firmly too. If they grip rather softly, then grip rather softly as well.
d) Mirror the gestures of another person. If this person speaks with wide gestures, then do the same. But: If this absolutely does not suit you, then meet the other person only partway, i.e., you may not make exactly the same large movements but rather somewhat larger movements.

Metaphor of the Week
When Bill Gates' company was still in its infancy, he was still a student and ran the company like a garage business, he developed a program for an IBM computer. IBM was very interested in getting to know the young man with the excellent programming skills. Thus, Bill Gates was invited to demonstrate his program.
Of course, Bill Gates knew that IBM valued stylish and decent suits. So, contrary to his usual habits at that time, he got one and set off on his journey. But how did the IBM people fare? They had heard that Bill Gates' company was a blue jeans company. So they went to a second-hand store and got themselves some old jeans.
Then the two parties stood facing each other and had to smile. Each had tried to adjust to the other.

Also, use the archive if you are quickly looking for a link, have lost one of the previous lessons, or have not received a lesson. HERE is the archive of past lessons
Advanced NLP Seminars
Of course, we also offer real seminars with personal encounters. This starts with our free NLP evening seminars in various cities in Germany and goes up to full, twenty-day trainings: Practitioner, Master, Trainer, and Coach.
