VAKOG (2)
Last week we dealt with the different sensory channels. Were you able to filter out the different channels in your exercises? This week is about applying what you've learned. The following exercises are meant to inspire you.
Exercise for this week
a) Pay attention to the choice of words in a conversation with another person. Does the other person primarily use visual, auditory, or kinesthetic terms? It doesn't matter whether they are nouns, verbs, adjectives, or something else.
Examples:
- Visual: colorful, eye, see, recognize
- Auditory: ear, hear, rustle, quiet
- Kinesthetic: feeling, soft, impression, perceive
b) Imagine you want to sell an idea to an auditory customer. What do you say? How do you proceed?
c) You are selling a car to a visual customer. What do you do and say?

Metaphor of the Week
The day came when the matchstick said to the candle: “I have the task to light you.” – “Oh no,” the candle was startled. The matchstick asked: “But do you want to remain cold and hard for a lifetime without having lived first?” – “But burning hurts and drains my strength,” whispered the candle uncertainly and full of fear.
“It is true,” replied the matchstick. “But that is the secret of our calling: We are called to be light. What I can do is little. If I do not light you, I miss the meaning of my life. I am here to ignite fire. You are a candle. You should shine for others and give warmth. Everything you give in pain, suffering, and strength will be transformed into light. You do not perish when you consume yourself. Others will carry your fire further. Only if you deny yourself will you die ...”
Then the candle sharpened its wick and spoke with anticipation: “I beg you, light me ...”

Archive
We have created an archive with past lessons and links. There you will also find this lesson again as a webpage in HTML. There are always some email programs that display strange characters and do not receive clean emails in either our text or HTML format. In this case, use the online archive to read the lessons. Also, use the archive if you are quickly looking for a link, have lost one of the previous lessons, or have not received a lesson. HERE is the archive of past lessons
Advanced NLP Seminars
Of course, we also offer real seminars with personal encounters. This starts with our free NLP evening seminars in various cities in Germany and goes up to full, twenty-day trainings: Practitioner, Master, Trainer, and Coach.
