Walt Disney
Strategies: Walt Disney Strategy
Background:
In NLP, a distinction is made between micro and macro strategies. This lesson focuses on a very specific macro strategy, namely Walt Disney's creativity strategy. Neuro-Linguistic Programming originated from the idea of modeling (copying) the strategies and behaviors of experts. Walt Disney was certainly a living example of incredible creativity. Just think of the films he produced. Also think of the amusement parks. Among children, Walt Disney is likely to be more well-known than the American president. How did he do it? We want to explore that here.
What would you like more creative ideas for? Is there a task, a project, or a goal that is not yet fully developed in your mind? Or do you just want to gather ideas to beautify your room, your apartment, or your workplace? Would you like to change your relationships overall and get to know a few new possibilities for this? Then the Walt Disney Strategy is very well suited. I also present this strategy in my book, and here it is in its original wording .....

Metaphor of the Week
On the Value of Things and People
During a seminar with many participants, the trainer held a 50 EURO note in the air.
He asked: "Who among you would like to have this 50 EURO note?"
Hands went up everywhere.
"Okay, just a moment," he said and crumpled the 50 EURO note. "Who would like to have this crumpled 50 EURO note now?"
Again, hands went up.
"Okay, wait," he said and threw the crumpled 50 EURO note on the ground and stepped on it with his shoes until the note was wrinkled and full of dirt. He picked it up by one corner and held it back in the air. "And who among you would still like to have this dirty, crumpled 50 EURO note?"
And again, hands were in the air.
"You see, you just experienced a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did with the banknote, no matter how dirty and crumpled it is, it did not change its value. It is still 50,- EURO. So often in our lives, we get dropped, are devastated, and may crawl in the dirt - and feel worthless. But all of that does not change our value, just as what I did with this note did not change its value. The value of each one of us remains intact, no matter how dirty, poor, or lost we may become."
