Anchoring (2)
This is the second lesson on the topic of “Anchoring”. You already know what an anchor is. In the exercises this week, it’s also about things in your life that you associate with very special memories or feelings. These can be very strong anchors.
Exercise for this week
a) Take a look at your apartment. What objects and furniture are lying around? What do you associate with them? Do the memories support you or do they sabotage your good feelings?
b) Think about words. What do you associate with the words: success, love, money, defeat? What do you associate with your name? Words or your own name can also become powerful anchors.
c) Places: Are there specific spots on this planet where you feel different, e.g. in a certain vacation area or in a certain city or in a certain country, etc.? For example, I love Lake Balaton in Hungary because that’s where I first truly fell in love, that was years ago, but it’s forever stored in my unconscious.
d) People: What feeling do you have when you encounter certain people? Be aware of what led to this feeling. Perhaps an encounter in the past or just the similarity to another person with whom you had bad experiences or something completely different.

Metaphor of the Week
After God created the world, He began to develop living beings. First, He created the shell. The shell had a rather boring life. All day long, it filtered water. So all day long, it was “open; close; open; close; open…”. Then God created the eagle. He gave the eagle the freedom to fly over mountains, seas, and valleys with its wide wings. But He also entrusted the eagle with the responsibility for its young. And man was to decide which life he wanted to lead. In fact, we still face the same great decision today: Do we want the life of the shell or do we choose the life of the eagle?

Archive
We have created a Archive with the past lessons and links created. There you will also find this lesson again as a webpage in HTML. There are always some email programs that display strange characters and do not receive clean emails in either our text or HTML format. In this case, use the online archive to read the lessons. Also use the archive if you quickly need a link, have lost one of the previous lessons, or have not received a lesson.
Advanced NLP Seminars
Of course, we also offer real seminars with personal encounters. This starts with our free NLP Evening Seminars in various cities in Germany and goes up to complete, twenty-day trainings: Practitioner, Master, Trainer and Coach.
