NLP Podcast 76: Practice group in Munich with puberty survival trainer Kira

In this podcast, Stephan Landsiedel interviews Kira Liebmann, who runs an NLP practice group in Munich and uses NLP professionally to help parents cope better, more relaxed, and easier with their pubescent children.

So, she is a 'Survival Coach for Parents of Teenagers'. Kira has 2 children herself, one of whom is in puberty, and she started her NLP Practitioner training in 2016. She is now finishing her Master and Coach training.

Since there are often 4-6 weeks between the Practitioner weekends, Kira took the initiative in 2016 and founded a WhatsApp group. The goal was for participants to continue exchanging and practicing even between training sessions.
This led to a group of 5-6 participants who regularly attended during the Practitioner training and continued after the training ended. This way, everyone could practice being a coach or address and resolve their own issues as a coachee.
Often, the leaders of practice groups initially wonder where to find spaces to practice.

Kira has many ideas/tips for that:
• At home
• in a side room of a café or restaurant
• maybe someone has a seminar room that can also be used

They meet in Munich, since early 2016, every first Tuesday of the month, from 7-10:30 PM. They have fixed times, a fixed agenda (goals, beliefs, values, meta-model of language,...) So, there will be a maximum of 15 minutes of chit-chat, as they want to practice after all.
The goal of the NLP practice group is for everyone to go home with added value from the evening.

Anyone who wants to practice is welcome to join the closed Facebook group: NLP Practice Group / Peer Group Munich This NLP peer group in Munich is for exchanging, networking, and practicing, practicing, practicing. No matter if Practitioner, Master, or Coach. Here, everyone mixes together.
Most find their way to the Landsiedel homepage for the practice group.

Tips on how to start your own practice group if you can't find one in your city or area:

  1. Why should you start an NLP peer group for practice? What do you and others gain from it?<
  2. Helpful tips for the meeting.
  3. This is how a Sample Peer Group Evening could go.

It's also worth traveling a bit further to the practice meetings. Stephan initially had 3 peer groups running simultaneously, highly motivated – as always. One peer group was several hundred kilometers away. And it visibly paid off for him to stick with it.

When you hear and do an NLP exercise in a seminar once, you sometimes believe that you can do it. It's better to practice it so that you can internalize it as a learned competence and then execute it automatically and unconsciously.
