NLP Podcast 67: From NLP Fan to Landsiedel Team

Annemarie Freitag Annemarie Freitag has been a loyal Landsiedel Seminars fan for several years now. In the meantime, she is NLP Master and loves to rediscover and further develop her potentials and personality in various seminars on different topics. She enjoys traveling to foreign countries and also loves spending a lot of time with her 7-year-old daughter. It's great to have such loyal fans who are so enthusiastic about our various NLP seminars. Recently, she has also been supporting us in our team and may even record a podcast or two in the future. I took this opportunity to ask her how she got into NLP in the first place, what excites her about it, and how she has applied and integrated NLP into her daily life. Annemarie mentioned that she once went to a free NLP evening seminar with a friend and found the evening totally exciting. After that, she somehow never got around to signing up for an NLP seminar. The usual arguments: No time, no money, no vacation left, and does it even help? Her relationship with her daughter's father had been over for more than a year, and the NEW woman, the reason for the separation (in her then-belief), was soon to live under the same roof with her daughter. Her mind registered that, but her heart screamed noooooo! It still felt totally betrayed, hurt, bitter, and completely tight. Annemarie still couldn't forgive and let go, even though she wanted to so badly.

But then came the day of decision, the day that was supposed to change everything.

Her boss had a new phone with a new ringtone. Under normal circumstances, nothing unusual. But this particular ringtone drove her crazy. The reason was that this new ringtone was the same one her ex-partner used to call the new woman. And this ringtone triggered a totally negative painful feeling in her like a switch. In NLP, we would refer to this ringtone as a negative anchor. Until then, Annemarie had never lost her temper in a meeting. But when she heard herself, as if on autopilot, say that her boss should get another ringtone, she realized that something had to change, that SHE urgently needed to take responsibility and change something. She immediately signed up for “NLP in a Week” and vowed: Either the event helps her, or she will accept the job offer in the USA. After just 3 days, she not only had her problem solved (with “merging anchors,” explained in our podcast 65), but she also learned many other insights and helpful tools that help to live one's own dreams. She found her new passion and made another decision that she absolutely wanted to learn these NLP contents in detail.

For about 2-3 years, she has also been leading an NLP practice group in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Now that she has completed the NLP Master, she wants to soon offer new free practice sessions online, this time also for parents together with children. Since she has a little daughter, she is already trying out some NLP exercises with her and believes that one cannot start applying NLP & insights from yoga & positive psychology early enough to improve communication with oneself, family members, and our fellow human beings, thus contributing to more harmonious relationships and a more peaceful world.

This attitude fits our vision of “NLP for everyone.” Welcome to the team 🙂
