Pete Wind has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, including working as a personal trainer, and brings a lot of practical experience in the areas of sports and nutrition. He now combines this with his NLP trainer activities. Additionally, Pete also leads the on October 28-29, 2017 in Würzburg as part of the annual training 'Integral Life Management', which is also open to everyone.
First, it is about one's own attitude. Those who appreciate their body will also do something for their health. This is the central aspect. But how do I start if I want to get fitter? What sport is sensible? Here is one of Pete's tips: Try out what you really enjoy. Furthermore, he gives recommendations for individual sports in the podcast, but ultimately the decision is very individual and depends on one's own goals.
Strengthening motivation
There are numerous ways to strengthen one's motivation and perseverance and to fight against the inner couch potato. Visualization techniques from NLP can be very helpful in this regard. Those who can visualize their goal, e.g., their finish line at a marathon or city run, and link it with strong emotions can use this image to recharge their energy in weak moments.
Also, the support from a personal coach or a buddy is a good support for many. This is about both joint training and external control to see if I am getting closer to my own goals step by step.
Nutrition is an important factor
It is not necessarily required to completely change one's diet, but 'empty calories', such as too many carbohydrates, should be avoided, according to Pete's advice. Small indulgences are also allowed if the overall diet is balanced and good. So that's the good news. To resist temptations, techniques from NLP as well as a strong personal commitment to the self-set goals also help here.
