NLP Podcast 40: Leading with NLP

In this podcast episode, it is about how leaders can use NLP to improve communication with their own employees. This is an excerpt from a webinar. Stephan Landsiedel first explains some basic NLP assumptions that are helpful in dealing with employees:

"Every person has their own model of the world."

As a leader, one should be aware that there is no objective model of the world that applies to everyone. Every leader and every single employee has their own idea of how the world looks and how it should be. Therefore, it is important for leaders to put themselves in their employees' shoes: "How does my employee think? How can I understand their model of the world to work well together on the same level?"

"In communication, there are no mistakes, only feedback."

Just like in everyday life, things in a company do not always go as one imagines. Especially as a leader, one should not only blame their employees but also reflect on themselves: "Maybe I need to change my behavior as a leader so that my employees better understand what I want to convey." These were just two basic NLP assumptions that help leaders in communication with their employees. In the complete podcast episode, Stephan Landsiedel mentions more helpful NLP assumptions. Additionally, Stephan Landsiedel reveals which NLP methods leaders can apply in a business context to build a good relationship with their employees. In this podcast episode, you will learn how leaders can better shape communication situations in the company with rapport, VAKOG, metaprograms, and perceptual positions. The episode is not only interesting for leaders but also for employees who want to improve their relationship with their superiors. Enjoy listening!
