NLP Podcast 163: Love it, leave it, or change it
“Every person has a superpower within them.”
Susanne Coers
When little Inger Nilsson suddenly lifts her horse with both arms, her friends Tommy and Annika are quite astonished. Astrid Lindgren's story of Pippi Longstocking and her incredible strength, with which she even carries the little uncle like a feather in her hands, still impresses us 60 years later. Have you perhaps also wondered what your superpower is? What can you do particularly well, with which ability do you manage to handle the heavier burdens of everyday life with ease? Perhaps you have already discovered your own strengths. Maybe they are still dormant within you and need to be uncovered.
In this podcast episode, resilience expert Susanne Coers is a guest with Stephan. She is excited about the idea that you possess your own individual resources that you can use to carry the lighter and heavier packages of everyday life. Stephan and Susanne have found their common passion in 'Strengthening Strengths'. They are both passionate about resource-oriented work using NLP techniques.
Susanne has gathered a colorful bouquet of training throughout her life: she studies and then begins to work in a psychiatric outpatient clinic. She notices that the clients being treated there focus a lot on their weaknesses. Susanne is convinced that states of stress and burnout can be better managed with an optimistic focus.
After this experience, she wants to help people develop more resilience, leave the victim role they find themselves in, and actively carry their own lives with new joy, hope, and courage. She takes further training in the systemic field, learns relaxation methods and stress management, and encounters her personal game changer with Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
In 2012, Susanne discovers the path to self-employment in the field of burnout coaching. But why repair a broken soul when you can strengthen it beforehand and thus protect it from crises? Susanne becomes a resilience expert. She finds her passion as a guide for people who want to activate their own resources and strengthen their health. From now on, she helps her clients find access to their own power and listen to their inner voice.
In this episode, Stephan and Susanne provide you with valuable food for thought on how to win a daily battle with the world and reach a state full of optimism and confidence. Embark on the journey, listen to this podcast, learn exciting facts about the psychological term 'resilience', and develop joy, inner resilience, and more energy to carry your very own horse.
