NLP Podcast 135: Self-Motivation with Kerstin Wemheuer

Kerstin FuhrmannMarian Zefferer talks today with Kerstin Wemheuer about how to motivate oneself and take action. Kerstin also has her own podcast called "justdoit". She helps people turn words like "should" or "could" into the word "do".

The most common excuse that Kerstin hears is "I would, but I have no time because ...". She usually responds to clients very provocatively and explains that time is fairly distributed, as everyone has 24 hours a day and can decide how to fill that time. "I just don't have the energy for it" is an excuse that Kerstin has to look at closely, because it is indeed possible that one has no energy for it, for example, when one is sick. To maintain her energy level, Kerstin meditates in her daily life. This allows her to recognize and switch off her inner "energy drainers".

To stay focused, the topic of distraction is very important. Kerstin's personal home remedy to direct her focus where she wants it is meditation. It is also important to regularly ask oneself the question "How am I doing right now?". This helps one learn to be in the here and now.

Kerstin tells you in this episode how the name of her podcast came about. She also shares tips and tricks to get into action. Listen to the episode to learn more about it!
