NLP-Podcast 117: Buddy Talk Episode 003

Stephan Landsiedel is once again in conversation with his buddy Heiko Speckhaus. A tiring week lies behind them. They had a lot to do. Stephan praises the buddy talk: "I wouldn't have done some of the things... or taken the time for them if we didn't have it in the program," Heiko feels the same way. Both are glad that they managed to complete their tasks. Last week, they talked about the four areas of "body, mind, spirit, and shadow."

Area Body:

Heiko has committed to his goals of cycling 2x 40 kilometers and running 2x. However, this has made his week very stressful. In the long run, this is not a solution for him. He is now reducing it to 1x cycling and 2x running, as otherwise it is difficult for him to manage time-wise.

Stephan has been running between 8 and 11 kilometers every morning. He is currently doing a 28-day online course, where he trains 10-12 minutes of high-intensity intervals daily. However, he finds it almost too easy, but it still serves well as a change of pace when he has been working on something for a long time.

Area Intellect:

Stephan set himself the goal of reading a book by Ken Wilber the previous week, and he accomplished that. Additionally, he has started learning the rules of Go. In chess, Stephan is already quite a pro, so he enjoys his beginner level in the Go game.

Heiko had planned to tackle the topic of rhetoric and inform himself about C. G. Jung. However, the autobiography of C. G. Jung has taken up so much of his time that he is postponing rhetoric to next week.

Area Mind:

Heiko has meditated twice and also completed the planned walks. For next week, he has already set aside a book by Jorge Bucay and plans 3 meditations and a walk.

Stephan wants to try something new in this area: Osho meditation.

Area Shadow:

Last year, Stephan attended the Shadow Seminar and wanted to follow up on it now. It was really nice for him because he looked over his notes very carefully again. With this time distance from the seminar, it was very great for Stephan to see which topics have already been resolved since then or which are currently very relevant.

Heiko wanted to talk about himself with a friend. He had him reflect back and had him absolved of any contradiction beforehand. He wanted to speak about himself as if he were not present. Being reflected back without restraint is not entirely easy for Heiko, and he needs to digest it first. For next week, he has planned a classic 3-2-1 shadow exercise. Stephan also wants to do a shadow exercise.

New topic for this week: Morning program

The morning is a good time to do important things right away. In the morning, you can't procrastinate, and the energies are still fresh.

You will learn more about Stephan and Heiko's morning routine throughout this episode!
