NLP-Podcast 104: Existential Coaching with Annette Fährmann

Annette Fährmann became enthusiastic about existential coaching some time ago and has since been pursuing many further training opportunities in this field. She lives in the Allgäu and enjoys being in nature and hiking there very much. In this podcast episode, Annette is interviewed by Stephan Landsiedel, and it is about what her heart is passionate about: Existential Coaching.
What is Existential Coaching?
The word "existential" is often associated with terms like "depth," "essential," or "great life themes." Existential coaching is about discovering what the essence of a situation is. It is not about quickly finding a solution to a problem but about asking profound questions. This way, the client should find an authentic answer to their topics or problems and recognize what is truly important and valuable. An important aspect of existential coaching is to trust people to be capable of much more than one would typically expect. Only in this way can people grow beyond themselves and reach their optimum. The Four Pillars of Existential Coaching:
- Feeling "I can achieve something" or "I can handle this"
- Finding vitality in life through things that make life more beautiful
- Authenticity "being true to oneself and expressing oneself"
- Seeing the big picture "finding a meaning that is greater than myself"
Through these four pillars, people can lead a fulfilled and happy life. And that is exactly what is aimed for in existential coaching.
In the complete podcast episode, you will learn exciting details about how existential coaching came into being. Annette and Stephan talk about Viktor Frankl and Alfried Längle, who have significantly shaped this effective method. Annette reveals how all these approaches are practically applied in coaching. She also explains the four pillars of existential coaching in detail.
Further training in existential coaching
Annette leads our five-day coaching module "Existential Coaching." In this module, she teaches participants the theory and practice that an existential coach needs. It is fundamentally about self-awareness and coherence, and ultimately about acting in genuine inner agreement – the key to a meaningful, fulfilled life. Additionally, Annette conducts a more in-depth training in existential coaching. This training is certified upon successful completion by the Existential Training & Leadership Academy and is personally recognized by Alfried Längle. ≫ Learn more about the training "Existential Coaching"
