Problem Definition
In order to solve or dissolve problems, it is generally useful to know exactly what the problem actually is. The Meta Model questions can help with this process.
Exploring and Reframing the Desired State:

Description:
Use Meta Model questions to determine the problem state and gather information:

Reframing the Problem (Secondary Gain, Positive Intention)
Goal: Change perspective and thereby develop greater understanding of the problem (= state change, possibly a reconciliation physiology).
- Has your previous behavior / this problem had any positive effect or consequence?
- Have you perhaps learned something important about yourself, others, or life through it? (Suppose you had…)
- If anything about this were positive, what could that be?
- Could this behavior or state be useful or meaningful in any particular context?
- Have you perhaps received any — even a very small — benefit (attention, care, rest, etc.) through your previous behavior?
