Stress Management through NLP
Stress has become one of the modern civilization diseases of our performance society, with a large part of the population having to deal with it in one way or another. It is both a physical and mental reaction of a person to the pressure they are under. Essentially, a stress reaction is completely natural and even helpful, as it supports coping with a pressing situation: the fastest and safest way to manage stress is usually to address the cause. However, if a person is constantly under stress, this situation becomes a burden on one's work performance, health, and not least one's family and social life.
Fortunately, Stress Management through NLP offers several approaches that are suitable for tackling stress individually or in combination. The first step to making stress management through NLP usable is to accept the challenge in one's life: instead of resigning oneself to a fate of ulcers and burnouts, one makes a conscious decision against it – even at the cost of this path being associated with more resistance and more effort.
Important for dealing with one's own situation is adjusting one's own attitudes: instead of perceiving oneself as the victim of constraints and necessities ("I must", "I can't", "it's not possible"), one must accept one's own responsibility and become clear about what exactly one wants to change: stress management through NLP can also mean no longer having to see oneself as a pawn of the whims of superiors – or as a slave to the calendar. Does one really have to have every task completed by the break? Does one really have to do everything oneself, or can tasks be delegated?
Another possibility for stress management through NLP is optimizing time management: a lot of stress arises not least because one has inadequately organized one's own schedule. Important but uncomfortable work tasks are postponed, too little time is allocated for more comprehensive tasks, or it is wasted on secondary work.
Another way of stress management through NLP ultimately involves communication: discussing one's situation with superiors can also be a great help, provided one can communicate this correctly. Perhaps in the end, they have no interest in one of their employees being absent because they have collapsed.
